Once the lash glue dries, with your eyes still closed, the tap and gels will be removed. The technician will then lightly brush the eyelashes, and as you slowly blink and open your eyes, you will see the amazing difference that lash extensions can make.
This process is virtually pain free, and your extensions can be completely customizable. You should not get your extensions wet for the first 48 hours, but after that you will still be able to shower, swim and sweat while wearing your extensions.
Some drawbacks do come with eyelash extensions, with the first being the cost and time commitment. The process will take a good part of your day, and extensions can set you back a couple hundred dollars between the first application and getting refills every couple of weeks. There is even a minimal chance extensions could damage your natural lashes, but that is something that your technician should be able to evaluate early on during the process.
However, eyelash extensions will allow you to spend less time with makeup, as mascara is no longer necessary. Lashes are also bigger at the base, and that creates the same effect that eyeliner gives. As natural eyelashes grow in and fall out in cycles of 60-90 days, this means touchups may be required every two to four weeks.
