Float Therapy

Receiving a great hands-on massage can relieve a lot of tension, and so can the opposite! Float therapy relies on epsom salt-rich, body-temperature water to lift you up and release tension. Epsom salt has natural healing and restorative properties for muscles, skin and hair. The Dreampod V2 has an interior measurement of 7.4 ft x 4.76 ft and easily accommodates most body types, including pregnancies into the third trimester. The Dreampod V2 features both interior light and sound controls for more meditative options in addition to full sensory deprivation.

HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE

For the best therapies, we need to know your exact areas of concern and expectations. Sensory deprivation (floating) is a recovery therapy option intending to decompress and reduce muscle tension and anxiety.

KNOW YOUR OPTIONS

Each float session takes place in a private pod filled with less than a foot of body-temperature, salt-rich water. Choose silence or sound, color auras or darkness, in your bathing suit or completely naked – your float is your time to relax!

RELAXATION

The Dreampod V2 promotes general wellness by removing life’s everyday stressors. Simultaneously calm your mind and body. You’ll learn more about yourself in an hour than most experience in an entire lifetime!

Do’s and Don’ts

Review Our Cancellation Policy

We require 24 hours notice to cancel/reschedule to avoid a cancellation fee.

Arrive On Time

Allow yourself plenty of time to get here – it’s much harder to relax into the tank if you’ve been rushing. If you are late, your float session may need to be cut short to ensure the following appointment can start on time. We recommend arriving 20 – 30 minutes early for your first session to complete your form & orientation and 5 minutes early for all subsequent appointments.

Allow Plenty Of Time For Your Float Session

We recommend allowing 1.5 hours for a 1 hour float session as we want you to take the time to relax before heading back out into the hustle and bustle.

Make Sure You Are Hydrated & Don't Skip Meals

The high salt content can make you dehydrated.

Turn Off Your Mobile Phone When You Arrive

This is your time to escape the world & the ‘busyness’ of life. We ask that you turn your mobile off & DO NOT TAKE CALLS WHILE YOU ARE IN THE TREATMENT ROOMS OR RECEPTION as there may be other clients having a massage, body or float who are disturbed by this. If you need to make a call, please go outside. If you need to have your phone available for emergency calls (children/work) then we suggest you leave your phone at reception and we will look after it for you.

Ensure Any Small Cuts Or Scratches Are Covered With A Clean Waterproof Dressing

This is for hygiene purposes as well as the fact the salty environment of the tank will cause any open cuts/scratches to STING!!

Remove Contact Lenses And Jewelry

But don’t forget to take them with you when you go!

Ask Lots Of Questions

Let us know if you are nervous or unsure of anything. We will do our best to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Call Us To Check If You Should Reschedule
If you are in the early/late stages of pregnancy, receiving chemotherapy or ongoing medical treatment that we should be aware of or think you may be coming down with a cold/flu/illness.

Don’ts

Consume Drugs Or Alcohol Prior To Your Appointment

Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol is STRICTLY prohibited. We reserve the right to refuse treatment to anyone we suspect may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Use The Tanks If You Are Menstruating

If you are menstruating, do not use the tanks without an internal method of barrier such as a tampon or cup.

Shave Or Wax Within The 12 Hours Prior To Your Session

The salty environment of the tank means that any waxed/shaved areas will STING!!!

Drink Caffeine Or Other Stimulant Drinks Before Your Session

These will make it difficult for you to relax into the tank environment. – a coffee in the morning should be OK if you’re not floating until later in the day.

Have A Large Heavy Meal In The 90 Mins Before You Float

Not only might you feel unwell, but your digestive system will be making lots of noises and this can be disruptive in your float.

Float If You Have Large Open Cuts

This is for hygiene reasons as well as your own comfort.

Float Straight After Having Hair Colored Or Chemically Straightened Or After Using Artificial Tanning Products

We ask you to wait at least 10 – 21 days after having your hair colored, the wait time depends on the color, (please ensure no color rinses from your hair when washing at home) and 10 days after using artificial tanning products.

Don't SMOKE Shortly Prior To Arriving At The Float Room

Nicotine, being a stimulant, can make it difficult to relax into the tank. It also SMELLS and the smell is carried into The Float Room with you – which is unpleasant for staff & other customers.

Take Too Long In The Shower After Your Float

Please consider that we may have another client waiting & we do need to allow sufficient time for filtering & cleaning. If you feel you need more than 10 minutes to shower & do hair/make-up after your session – please just advise us when you arrive & we can shorten your float time accordingly.

Take Calls While You Are In The Treatment Rooms Or Reception
This is your time to escape all of that, so leave it off as long as you can. It is also VERY distracting for other clients who are here to relax.
