About Salus
Salus started out in Jenison in 2003 under the name Jenison Clinical Massage Therapy. In 2009 we moved to Grandville in our first expansion and became Salus Massage Therapy and hired our first staff members.
In 2015 we added skin care services and became Salus Massage Therapy & Skin Care and added another 750 sq. ft. to our office.
In 2020 we started our latest expansion only to come to a halt during the pandemic. This did not stop us. Due to our amazing and loyal clients we were able to come back strong and had the most astounding blessing of being able to expand to twice the size in 2021 and moved back home to Jenison, doubled our size and services and are now known as Salus Wellness Spa. We are now a full wellness center for body, mind and spirit. We look forward to continuing our growth and bring you more services to help you achieve your wellness goals.
Salus comes from the Roman Goddess of health, well-being, and general welfare of the public. The name fits perfectly with the way we wanted to portray and advertise the company. We strive always to have the mindset and business motto to keep an affordable West Michigan massage therapy option available to the community. Salus primarily caters to those with chronic pain problems and sports-related injuries.
Our staff has grown every year. In 2012, Salus Massage Therapy started its second expansion, adding more treatment rooms and treatment options to the existing office space. In 2017, we added skin care services such as facials, body treatments, waxing, lash extensions and lash lifting and tinting. This project would not have been possible if it wasn’t for the incredible talent of our massage therapists and hard working reception staff.
Salus Massage Therapy hopes that the story does not end here. We will continue to strive to provide the best service possible to all who come to our spa. We want everyone to experience the joy, relaxation, and all the health benefits that come along with massage therapy and skin care at an affordable price, in a relaxing atmosphere, and with top-notch service.
